Welcome to Lincoln Concert Orchestra’s official web site.

The Lincoln Concert Orchestra has been running for over sixty years now, having been formed in 1944 by John Bonner, a lay vicar in the Cathedral Choir.  The Orchestra has continued to develop ever since bringing a wide range of music to the community.  It has a long history of concert successes, the proceeds of which have always gone to local or national charities.

Whilst the Orchestra has a nucleus of experienced players, it is always keen to welcome new members of all ages and musical abilities.  We place the emphasis on the fun and enjoyment of making music, and so do not require minimum grade levels or auditions for new members.  Dedication is the prime qualification for entry.

Currently we would like to hear from players of bass instruments in any section of the Orchestra, violins and percussion.
